Dynamo Kyiv have moved up from fourth to third place in the Ukrainian Premier League table despite being held to a goalless draw by FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk on Sunday night. After the last week's disappointing 3-1 defeat to FC Vorskla Poltava, Valeriy Gazzaev’s men applied all their pressure in order to return to the winning ways and had perfect chances to clinch the three points, but despite their best efforts, they could not find the breakthrough and were forced to settle for a hard-fought point.
Another participant of the UEFA Europa League Metalist Kharkiv was beat in a home match by Kryvbas Kryviy Rih − 3:4. The footballers of Myron Markevych were two times one goal ahead their opponents, but the doubles of Kryvbas forwards Oleksandr Ivaschenko and Andriy Varankov helped the team of Yuriy Maksymov to get a victory. Metalist managed to score only three times thanks to the shots of Marko Devych (2) and Andriy Vorobey.
Karpaty Lviv became one of the teams, who made a kind of sensation during the first match of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday after playing a draw result in away match against Galatasaray 2:2. In the Premier League match against Sevastopol on Sunday the fans saw a reserve squad of Karpaty, but Lviv team managed to win - 2:1. The goal of Oleg Golodiyk appeared to be deciding one.
