FC Shakhtar earned a comfortable 3:1 win at FC Arsenal Kyiv on Friday. Serhiy Symonenko spectacularly gave Kyiv outfit the lead on 31 minutes from a thirty-meter range. Next day, on Saturday, FC Dynamo Kyiv kept their winning streak alive Saturday afternoon as they beat Ukrainian Premier League newcomers FC Sevastopol 3-0 to earn their third consecutive top-flight win this season.

It was soon 2-0 as Dynamo defender Taras Mykhalyk found the back of the net with a strong kick from 25 meters for his first goal of the season. The White-Blues made sure of victory when Dynamo captain Andriy Shevchenko, who remained active and looked dangerous throughout the match, headed the third on 77 minutes, adding fourth to his tally.
