On Thursday, April 15, Ukraine WU17 team ended the qualification of EURO 2010 WU17 on the fourth place in the third group of the second qualifying round. The first place in this quartet was occupied by Ireland, which sensationally beat Sweden during the last match-day − 2:1.
Abolished goal
Ukrainians opened the score already in the debut of the game, but after the break they had to catch up with Polish team. As a result they played only a draw, which didn’t let them get higher than the fourth place. Both goals for blue-yellows team were scored by its captain Olena Telna. She even managed to score for the third time, but this goal was abolished because of the offside.
