WU17: Crimean hopes of Ukrainians

On Saturday, April 10, the second qualifying round of the 2010 European WU17 Championship will start in Simferopol. Ukrainian team will compete in Group 3 against their Sweden, Irish and Polish coevals.

Preparations in Novopavlovka
Ukrainian girls gathered in Alushta on Tuesday. On Friday they are to go to the village Novopavlovka, which is located near Simferopol. During the tournament Ukrainian girls will live and train at the base of Skif sport complex. The coach of blue-yellows Mykola Lysenko has already decided which 18 footballers will represent Ukraine in the qualifying tournament.

Way to Switzerland
We should remind that Ukrainians has overcame a starting barrier of the 2010 European WU17 Championship’s qualification after beating Kazakhstan (6:1), Moldova (5:0) and losing to the Netherlands (1:2). The matches of the second stage in Group 1 are to be played in Simferopol and urban village Agrarne. The winners of each of the four quartets will get into a final tournament of EURO 2010, which will take place on June 22-26 at Swiss stadium Kolovre.

April 10. Ireland − Ukraine (Simferopol, 13:00), Sweden − Poland (urban village Agrarne, 16:00).
April 12. Sweden − Ukraine (Simferopol, 13:00), Poland − Ireland (urban village Agrarne, 16:00).
April 15. Ukraine − Poland (Simferopol, 16:00), Ireland − Sweden (urban village Agrarne, 16:00).
