Ukraine WU17 − Kazakhstan WU17 − 5:0
On Saturday, February 20, Ukraine WU17 team have come on top on the international tournament at Omsk.
Two or more goals were needed for Mykola Lysenko’s charges to secure a win in the competition featuring Russia team, FC Irtysh and two teams from Kazakhstan. After making it 5:0 in the match against Kazakhstan team Ukraine won the golden medals.
Qualifying preparation
Totally in Omsk Ukraine footballers made three wins in four matches. It’s noteworthy that the blue-yellows try to keep fit ahead of their 2010 European WU-17 championship second qualifying round from April 10 to 15 where in Group 3 they will take on Ireland, Sweden and Poland. The final round will take place in June from 22 to 26 in Nyon featuring the winners of four groups.
