On Friday, August 21, Ukraine Women’s team went to Finland. The next day it will play against Netherlands in a starting match of EURO 2009. Historical match between the debutants of the final part of the European Championship will be played in Turku city and will start at 2.45 p.m. We should mention that there will be live broadcast of the game at the First national channel.

Duel with Women’s U19 team
Befor leaving to Finland the footballers of Anatoliy Kutsev played in Kyiv two friendly matches against Ukraine Women’s U19 team and both times appeared to be stronger − 7:0 and 2:0. “I am satisfied with the actions of my footballers in these matches. Their result was not very important. The main thing is that we were lucky to avoid injuries”, − team’s coach said.

Boom of women’s football
As to the debut in a final part of European Championship, Anatoliy Kutsev is far from underestimation of the opponents. “There is a real boom of football in the Netherlands now. I saw Dutch women in their last friendly match against Russia. In spite of a lost (1:0) they showed their discipline and skill. I have no doubt that the match against them will be very difficult”, − the coach underlined.
