On Wednesday, August 13, head coach of Ukraine U-21 team Pavlo Yakovenko announced the squad for the upcoming training session scheduled on August 16 − 21.This session is peculiar in a way that 36 players were called out to the team, being divided into A and B groups. The basis of group A is made of footballers aged 21, group B features youngster aged 20.

Pavlo Yakovenko came up with such decision due to the following factors. As it’s known, the ‘blue-yellows’ have got only theoretical chances to enter the final of EURO 2009 U-21 that will conclude in autumn of the current year. That’s why, alongside with the last EURO 2009 qualifier against Czech Republic on September 9, Yakovenko is set to qualify for the EURO 2011 U-21.

Meanwhile, team B won’t be deprived of game practice, On August 19 at 11 a.m. it will play Arsenal Kyiv. Next day Yakovenko’s lads will face Obolon Kyiv. Both matches will be played at Dynamo base in Koncha-Zaspa. And in the end, on Monday, August 18, U-21 team will hold the opened training session at the above mentioned venue at 5 p.m. Journalists are kindly invited.
