Winless spell of U-21 team | | 27.05.2008, 18:30 | FFU info-service | | | | On Tuesday, May 27, U-21 team of Ukraine played Belarus in a draw friendly in Homel. Volodymyr Muntyan’s lads failed to battle out a win in their fifth match in a row.
Stiff trial As well as the previous rival of Ukraine (Germany), Belarus now tops its qualifying group for the UEFA EURO 2009 U-21, and they await the crucial clash on their way to the final. The first minutes of the match started, it became clear Belarus guys have got better fitness. They got down to shaking the defense line of Ukrainians. It took a while for the latter ones to pull themselves together and start attacking. However, the match saw no scoring.
