U-19: useful defeat | | 02.05.2008, 10:15 | Kostyantyn Patkevych, FFU | |  | | On Thursday, May 1, U-19 team of Ukraine suffered a 0:3 defeat from Polish footballers in the last sparring before the EURO 2008 (U-19) Elite round qualifying.
From clouds to ground
− I take this result as a positive one, − Ukraine U-19 team manager Oleksandr Lysenko noted. − The guys received an instructive lesson! One can tell they were hoping to beat the rival due to their class. In the long run I saw nothing but a shadow of a team that crushed Italians two weeks ago in Kyiv. So the loss in Warszawa is absolutely logical. I guess it will make the players come back from clouds to ground.
Spain next
We remind that in the EURO 2008 (U-19) Elite round the ‘blue-yellows’ will be playing in Group 7. Armenia will host the matches of this group. Our lads meet the Spanish on May 22, the Armenians on May 24, and the Turks on May 27. The winner of the competition will grab the berth for the final which will take place on July 14-26 in Czech Republic.
