Flying to success with UIA | | Flyuia.com | |  | | On 16 May 2008, Ukraine International Airlines signed a five-year cooperation agreement with Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU). According to this agreement UIA becomes FFU’s official air carrier partner.
For the past two years UIA acted as an official carrier for Ukraine’s National and Youth Teams.
UIA and Football Federation of Ukraine are joining forces to benefit the development of Ukrainian football. In addition to becoming FFU’s official carrier for 2008-2012, UIA will actively support Ukraine’s National Football Team and other Federation’s initiatives. Those will include projects geared towards promoting the image and standing of Ukrainian football in Europe and worldwide.
Yuri Miroshnikov, UIA President said: «Signing of this agreement is a demonstration UIA’s deep-rooted principles of social responsibility and our aspirations to be of maximum help to the Football Federation of Ukraine in its work to prepare Ukrainian football players for the important matches to come over the next several years, and, undoubtedly, for the Euro-2012 championship hosted jointly by Ukraine and Poland».
Hryhoriy Surkis, President of Football Federation of Ukraine noted: «I am certain our partner UIA made the right and considered choice for the benefit of the sport. In the near future both of our organizations will rightfully share football accomplishments of our national and other Ukrainian teams. Reliability is among top priorities for our partner and this is why Football Federation of Ukraine chose in favor of Ukraine International Airlines».
Signing of this contract signifies the start of a long-term cooperation between FFU and UIA that will continue within the framework of Euro-2012 in its capacity of, arguably, the most important large-scale national project. |
