The company was established in 1992.
It has been working on the international market since 1992.
On 16th May 2008 “Ukraine International Airlines” company signed a cooperation contract with the Football Federation of Ukraine for a five year period. According to the agreement UIA received the status of the official airlines partner of the Football Federation of Ukraine. During previous two years UIA airlines were the official airlines transporter of the National “A” and Under-21 football teams of Ukraine.
UIA and Football Federation of Ukraine join its efforts for the Ukrainian football development. According to the contract, UIA receives “Football federation of Ukraine Official Airlines Partner” status and in the years 2008-2012 actively supports Ukrainian Football National “A” team and assists the realization of important undertakings and National federation projects, aimed to improve the image and position of the Ukrainian football in Europe and in the whole world.

The basic activity of the “Ukraine International Airlines” company is passenger and cargo transportation. Only in a year after it was founded, all the aims indicated in the articles of association: to establish high quality, competitive international Ukrainian company; to expend and integrate Ukrainian aviation activity all over the world; to implant best technologies and management methods; to attract foreign investments and benefit were achieved.
UIA offers the largest quantity of European destinations from Ukraine, than any other companies, operates 300 regular flights per week, expends number of flight connections all over the world on the base of 126 interline agreements. Thanks to the partnership network, UIA offers more than 300 competitively priced destinations with suitable connections on the same day. Nowadays there are more than 40 UIA representative offices all over Ukraine and abroad; commercial network covers 70 countries, UIA web site allows passengers to make on-line ticket booking.
Security and safety standards correspond to the highest international demands.
Safety and security is an absolute priority for UIA. Ukraine International Airlines is the first airlines company in CIS, which was registered in the IOSA register − the sole international quality certificate issued by the special program IATA. It confirms high level of the airlines security and the company’s air fleet. UIA Technical department makes general servicing of the west type airplanes. According to the Boeing statistics, UIA is the only company in CIS, which makes full servicing of its air fleet. Company also provides servicing for other companies in the region: Dniproavia (Ukraine), Belavia (Belorussia) and etc.
Ukraine International Airlines Company was lucky to recruit wonderful, well experienced personnel in all the categories. After the Ukrainian Tourist Agencies review, UIA received two nominations: “Best selling airlines company in Ukraine” and “Best Ukrainian airlines company”. We are proud of the fact, that UIA was chosen as an official transporter of his Sanctity Holly Father John Paul II during his visit to Ukraine. |
