On Thursday, April 03, the final stage of training of a group of professional teams’ coaches after UEFA PRO diploma program finished at Myr hotel. After the event First vice-president, FFU Chief Executive Officer Oleksandr Bandurko presented the entrants with professional diplomas.
Wide range of opportunities
PRO diploma enables the specialist to work in all professional leagues of European countries, whose national associations enter Convention «About acknowledging coaching qualifications». At present this Convention is signed by 52 out 53 UEFA national associations. Ukraine was the first among post-soviet countries to obtain the right to issue coaching diplomas of European standard.
Thinking about future
«Federation have long ago realized the importance of developing the system of coaches training, − Oleksandr Bandurko admitted. − We strive for fine and attractive football, and the education of teams’ managers is indispensible to it. Certainly, we pay attention not only to professional teams’ mentors, but to children’s coaches as well».
Final phase
At the end the specialists listened to a course of lectures as to legal aspects of coach’s work and professional-pedagogical mastery. The representatives discussed the tendency of world football development, modern methods of preparation of players and treatment of the rules of the game according to UEFA and FIFA recommendations. The last examination for those present was defense of a qualification project. All twenty specialists were successful in doing it.
