On Monday, September 22, award ceremony of the winners of All-Ukrainian countryside sports games, with ten best children’s football teams participating, took place in Boryspil at Kolos stadium.

The winners of “Let’s bring joy to kids!” football festival among countryside schoolchildren, being carried out by Kolos physical training sports society in cooperation with Federation of Football of Ukraine and Ministry of science and education, were granted with prizes by FFU vice-president Volodymyr Lashkul, technical director of the federation Vasyl Zabroda, and also Volodymyr Muntyan, Andriy Biba, Oleksandr Holovko and Oleh Kuznyetsov. Each team, except a Cup, medals and diplomas, received foot balls and sets of uniform.

Ten winners

At the first stage 600 countryside teams, set with boys and girls, participated. Last week 100 strongest teams defined ten winners of the tournament in four towns of Ukraine. So, the best teams (from 1991-92) among secondary schools of district centers are guys from Kopchyntsi town (Ternopil region) and girls from Kostopil town (Rivne region); the best teams from 1993-94 are teams from Yahotyn town (Kyiv region) and Uman (Cherkassy region).

Girls from Sumy are the best

Among countryside secondary schools the best ones are: in elder age group −  guys from Berehy village  (Zakarpattya region) and girls from Khotyn school (Sumy region); in younger group the best are guys from Shchaslyve village (Kyiv region) and girls from Dobryanska school (Sumy region).
