On Tuesday, 10 July, a joint meeting of FFU Executive Committee, Central Board of Professional League, Board of Premier, First and Second Leagues was held in the conference-hall of Odessa Imex-bank. Participants of the meeting studied more than ten current issues, having adopted the agenda of the 9th special FFU Congress.

Congress to choose directors
So, the Congress, scheduled on 14 September, will consider the changes and amendments of FFU Regulations, sum up the work of national federation starting from 16 July, 2004, and it will adopt the list of events set in state program for preparation and staging the EURO 2012 final in Ukraine. The delegates will also elect president and vice-president of FFU, membership of Executive Committee and bodies of football justice. Moreover, they will discuss a new structure and functional duties of FFU officials.

FFU disciplinary rules
Members of Executive Committee adopted also disciplinary rules of Football Federation of Ukraine. The document will be distributed among all the members of FFU, professional clubs of the country will get it through PFL. The control over this decision is assigned to FFU first vice-president Serhiy Storozhenko and FFU vice-president, PFL president Ravil Safiullin.

Procedure of licensing
After the results of the licensing of professional clubs for the season 2007/08, the Executive Committee acknowledged the system implemented in Ukraine as one that secures a modern level of development of football. However, after the clubs were issued the right to participate in championships, competitions and UEFA club tournaments, football federation obliged the clubs to work out the plans of eliminating remarks by 1 August, 2007.

Half-professional status
PFL, together with committees of professional football, mass football and FFU Law committee, is assigned to work out the statute of half-professional football by 1 December, 2007, and later to be considered by Executive Committee. Alongside with this, there should be some suggestions concerning the budget of professional clubs which will afford continuous performance throughout the season. Half-professional league might be created in case the clubs of Second League won’t match the licensing requirements of FFU.

Doping tests procedure
Surely, the procedure of doping control at home competitions won’t pass unheeded. The Executive Committee established its regulations and the expenditures for making tests.

Rating of referees
The head of FFU referee committee Victor Derdo got the members of the meeting acquainted with the results of licensing of Ukrainian referees and their assistants for the first semester of 2007. The list of those to serve the competitions in the season 2007/08 was brought into consideration. The Executive Committee will officially endorse it.

Final 2008 in Kharkiv
The procedure of inviting foreign referees was also settled. The final matches of Ukraine’s Cup will be exceptionally served by domestic referees. By the way, the final 2008 will be hosted in Kharkiv which celebrates the 100th anniversary of local football.

Delegates and inspectors
The Executive Committee also adopted the statute of delegates of Premier League, and the squad of delegates and inspectors to stage the competitions among professional clubs in 2007/08. The responsibility for their functioning is put on Anatoliy Dyachenko who heads Inspectorial Committee of the federation, and first vice-president, FFU executive director Oleksandr Bandurko is charged to control the fulfilling of this decision.

FFU care of youth
The Executive Committee appointed Yuriy Moroz as a head coach of Ukraine’s youth team of 1990. At the end the meeting adopted the Rules of staging a representative tournament (U-14) “Play football for the sake of peace” organized by International charity fund of help and friendship, and supported by FFU, Kyiv City Federation and Chief body for physical culture and sports of the capital.
