Metalurh stadium is a home ground for FC Metalurh. Local football experts claim that over a hundred years ago a football stadium existed already on the spot where modern arena lies now. Nevertheless, the official open of Metalurh stadium is considered 1952.
Since then the football venue underwent two significant reconstructions. In 1997 3,700 plastic seats were installed there alongside with heating and illumination. In summer 2008 the stadium was expanded with a new stand increasing the capacity to 5090 spectators. New illumination poles were attached as well. So now the arena meets all the requirements set by UEFA. |
