On Tuesday, November 20, the Executive committee of Football Federation of Ukraine held its session. Fifteen points of agenda being covered. FFU officials discussed the pace of preparation to the EURO 2012 final, adopted the management of regular committees and commissions of national federation, and also approved several important decisions.
Attention directed to professional football
In particular, the Executive Committee adopted Statute for the Council of strategic development of professional football. Its main task is aimed at cooperation and dialogue with presidents of professional clubs, defining strategic trends of professional football development and improving its political, economic and social status. FFU administration was assigned to end up the work with the staff of the Council with its further passing to the Executive Committee’s consideration.
New appointments
The post of FFU Executive director was unanimously voted to be reserved after first vice-president of federation Oleksandr Bandurko. Vasyl Zabroda was appointed its deputy. Lyudmyla Mischenko and Kostyantyn Vykhrov were appointed as financial and technical directors respectively.
Functional duties
Functional duties of president, vice-presidents and administration officials of FFU underwent some changes. From now on all vice-presidents of Football Federation of Ukraine represent FFU interests in public, civic and other organizations, institutions of different property forms, before all third persons, being charged with right to sign letters and grant guaranties.
Cup to be played in Kharkiv
Also the place of conducting of Ukraine Cup final match was determined. On the seventh of May, 2008 the deciding match for this trophy will be held by Kharkiv stadium Metalist. Regional state administration and local football federation (KRFF) are proposed to create an organizing committee and the first Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) vice-president Sergiy Storozhenko and KRFF head Volodymyr Babaev will be responsible for the committee work coordination with appropriate FFU services.
Plans of youth
The calendar and the regulations of conducting measures by Ukraine youth teams for the year 2008 was confirmed, in particular the terms of conducting of Victor Bannikov and Valeriy Lobanovskiy Memmorials. According to the calendar Vactor Bannikov Memmorial is to be held from the 5th to the 11th of June, 2008 and the competitors will be U-17 teams. And the tournament of U-21 teams for the prizes of Valeriy Lobanovskiy is to be held during the 18-22 of August, 2008.
