Director of the UEFA EURO 2012 Local Organizing Committee in Ukraine.

Director of the UEFA EURO 2012 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivskiy. Heads the LOC from the moment of its creation.

Graduated from Lviv State University.

Worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, later was an ambassador of Ukriane in Croatia.

In different times he was an Assistant Secretary of State of Ukraine, counsellor of the President of Ukraine. Has a diplomatic grade of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ukraine.

Speaks English, Polish, Serbian, Croatian and Russian languages.
